Summertime Part 2

Books galore!

Gearing up for summer reading season. There's lots on the shelves to keep us happily reading for hours.

The Book Group just finished Tracy Chevalier's newest, The Last Runaway.

Loved it! Remember her from Girl with a Pearl Earring fame? There's also Remarkable Creatures, another big favorite with the Book Group. This time we see America through the eyes of a young Quaker Englishwoman in the 1850s. Well worth a read.

Our next picks:
Illuminations:  A Novel of Hildegard von Bingen

Other notable recent releases:

Well-Tempered Heart: Sequel to Art of Hearing Heartbeats

Midnight Rose: latest from Lucinda Riley

D. E. Stevenson: Miss Buncle, Miss Buncle Gets Married and Young Clementina

Edward Rutherfurd's latest: Paris

Maisie Dobb's is back: Leaving Everything Most Loved. Last installment in Maisie's series until early 2015

Next book out is a stand-alone novel of WW1. Follows the fates of two young couples and promises to be excellent. Winspeare taking a break from Maisie with this book, published to coincide with the centennial celebrations of WW1. It's my most anticipated novel of the summer releases. Can't wait. So much so I ordered up copies of the hardcover! Watch for it in July.

Drumroll......One of my absolute favorite Kids books is back in print and now with a matching doll!

Voyage to the Bunny Planet and Clare dolls!

Squeeeeeeee absolutely adore this

Happy Reading!
