We've launched our maisieblue Stash Busting Squares project. Simple concept: make your leftovers and stash yarns disappear by working up simple squares to use in charity blankets.
Projects specs: Knit or crochet up squares to measure 2 1/2", 5" or 10" in any pattern, yarn, colors. Drop them off at the shop and once we've enough we'll turn them into lovely blankets or shawls to donate to worthy cause. First target date Nov 1st. Just keep the squares to one of the 3 sizes. That's it! Easy-peasey.
Ideas:
Simplest: garter stitch or single crochet. Easy, effective and quick and makes for great squishy blankets.

easy granny squares
Bit fancy: test out a favorite stitch pattern or granny square motif. Try all seed stitch or another textured stitch pattern. Might have to fiddle a bit to get it to right size but nothing too taxing probably. Miter garter squares a fast option.
