Andean Mist

Oh my my my.....Andean Mist is divine!

Ultra soft and ethereal blend of super fine baby suri alpaca and mulberry silk. It truly knits up light as air. Just like soft, poofy, puffy, fluffy clouds. No joke. But warm. Oh so warm and cozy. Lots of patterns.

Baby suri alpaca is the softest, finest alpaca around. Blending with the mulberry silk yields a yarn that's a dream to touch.

Despite it's fluffy texture the stitch definition is amazing. Lace, cables and bobbles all look sublime.

Despite the luxury quality of the fiber it's a fantastic value with generous yardage (164 yds) and lovely price ($7.99). Most patterns shown take as little as 1-3 balls, perfect for gift knitting. Even a sweater won't break the bank. The colors are painterly, widely appealing; softly luminous and rich. Booklet # 347 is an hommage to the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood painters and any would be perfect for in their paintings.

While I'm dying to cast on a shawl (particular weakness of mine) I'm thinking theseWoolner mitts a better bet: one hank and fast gift knit

Berroco designer Emily Nora O'Neil adores working with Andean Mist so we can expect many more great patterns to appear in the future. Lucky us!

Not a fan of super soft fuzzier yarns? Swap out Andean Mist for Folio. Great substitution. Plus check out the Folio patterns which work well with Andean Mist too.
