Knit Nights return!
Thurs Knit Nights return Sep 24th after our summer hiatus. It's now a once a month party from 6-9pm. Here's the bookmark we've printed up with all the dates listed:
Monthly Thurs Nights:
Sep 24, Oct 22, Nov 12, Dec 17 6-9pm
Sep 24, Oct 22, Nov 12, Dec 17 6-9pm
Mark your calendars and Save the Dates! At this first night we'll be talking about our Butte Fire Christmas Blankets-of-Love KAL. So if you are intrigued drop by or stay tuned for details. Don't leave both of us (yep Megan and Kim together again!) sitting all by our lonesome! Hope to see friendly faces and have a good catch up with everyone next week.
We know some will miss weekly Thurs nights but with the new jobs, commutes, kids in middle school and team sports....we just can't manage it weekly. Remember we still have two weekly sessions Sun & Mon if you can't make the monthly Thurs nights.
Preview of Upcoming Events
After last week's scary fire-hiccup around here we're "putting our boots on " and getting things back to normal....if just a wee bit later than we expected. Here's sneek peeks of what's in the works for the Fall-Winter season.
First box debuts Oct 1st! There's still a few kits left if you're wanting to join in the fun. Deadline Sep 25 to purchase your box. Read all the details here and purchase your box here.
In a nutshell: 4x a year we hand-pick special mystery box to ship out to you. This first one a knit theme: yarn, patterns for 2 projects-perfect for upcoming gift-giving season.
Wandering Moon pattern posted up Oct 1st. Come cast on together at shop Oct 4 or 5 2-4pm. It's a lovely shawl in Rylie, a gorgeous yarn. Michelle's knit-alongs always fun and super educational. More details here.
We'll do a different pillow each month from Oct to Mar 2016 (and maybe beyond since there's a gazillion patterns all queued up)! Good way to learn new techniques and use different yarns each month. It's a monthly class. You can do it month by month or sign up for whole series. Specific dates, details in next newsletter. Shooting for a mid-Oct start date. Here's some techniques covered: provisional cast-on's, slip-stitch colorwork, basic lace motif, reading charts, cables, entrelac, intarsia and lots of finishing techniques. Here's a few in the queue:
