Two-Color Brioche

Cathy came back from East Coast a brioche gal so now she's sharing her tips & techniques. We'll make the Hester's Cowl.

 

It's a great pattern: sized in multiple weights  (love, love patterns like this) and great intro to dipping toes into the Brioche pond.

It's an easy technique once you master a few elements. Yields lovely deep, smooshy ribs. My favorites are the two-color versions that leave people wondering "how did they do that?"

 

Since it's written for practically all weights (even bulky!) any yarn will work. For this class our sample is in Berroco Maya, a cotton-chainette blend that is good for warm weather climates. But hey....if you're wanting to get jump start on holiday gifting...this is a perfect time to dive in and crank out some big bulky versions. Once you get the hang of the pattern it makes for good binge-boring-tv-movie-knitting. You'll be able to crank out loads of these puppies in no time during the hot summer months ahead.

Yarn & Supplies available in the shop so come early to pick out your colors. You'll get 15% off supplies purchased for the class. Just be warned: Picking out the colors is the hardest part. So many options!!

(that's apx 550 (450, 300, 175) total yardage for the cowl)
