We took the plunge last year and ordered up Istex Lopi Wool Blankets for the shop. Now we're addicted to these amazing blankets and we have a new family collectible tradition. Nothing's more cozy, soothing or comfy than a lovely woolen blanket to curl up under on a rainy, snowy winter's night. Soon the season will turn and cooler weather will arrive.... we promise! We discovered just how lofty these blankets but still amazingly warm yet breathable. You'd think "wool blanket" means heavy but no siree....these Icelandic blankets are uniquely lightweight.

Woven of 100% pure Icelandic Wool (same wool we sell here and here), these outstanding blankets are extremely durable, lightweight, breathable and warm. The fabric is additionally combed after weaving for added softness. Istex Ltd is the manufacturer of Lopi Wool products in Iceland. With over a century of wool tradition, these wool blankets are woven with modern sensibility with the very unique qualities of Lopi wool. Extremely light, durable, breathable and warm!

• Fully reversible
• Hand Wash (or machine wash on delicate alone) in cold water with delicate wash (Eucalan or Soak), lay flat or hang to dry. Dry clean also okay.
• When storing away include bar Irish Spring Soap or cedar balls to deter nibbly bugs...but why store them away for half the year when they're so pretty!
