Michel Designs & Illume: Big Restock!

Big Restock Lovely Smelly Stuff! 

Time for our big spring order of Michel Designs and this year, Illume and Tried & True. Shop is literally stuffed with new stuff. But it's oh so pretty new stuff! Pefect timing for spring giftgiving and Mother's Day not far behind. Lots of bath, body and candles everywhere!

2. Avocado 3. Earl Grey Tea  and 4. Pink Grapefruit relaunched favorite oldies but goodies. 

Happy to see a few old favorite Michel Designs scents revamped and returned! Avocado, Pink Grapefruit and Green Tea! As a retail buyer I've ordered from this company for ages. I adored my lovely rep Georgia all those years ago and remember her fondly. Pretty sure Avocado was from all those years ago! My first sniff of this new version reminds me of sitting with Georgia buying all those many years ago. 

See that cute yellow pineapple top right? That's one of Megan's all time favorite Illume scents, Pineapple Cilantro. If peachy-pink you're thing.... there's a Coconut Milk Mango version. Illume had so many beautiful ceramic candles we kinda splurged.

You'll spy a gorgeous round rossette ceramic candle in aqua blue (our favorite color), creamy white and peachy-pink. When candle done you have a lovely ceramic container for stuff! 

Our family has many of the older style Illume candles - frosted glass - and so useful. Can't wait to get a Fresh Sea Salt candle for my bathroom! Which is exactly this shade of aqua... or seafoam...or soft sagey-blue.... can't decide what to call it.... but it's perfect color. 

Back then Michel Designs known more for boxed cards, journals and bar soaps. Now there's no stationery but lots of bath, body and home decor stuff. Candles too. By far the most popular items are the foaming hand soaps. They now have 3 sizes (large, mini and new travel size). 

Long-lasting, not too perfume-y. Just the right amount of scent plus soaping action that doesn't dry out your skin. Added bonus for those with little kids: They can pump a bunch and not have gobs of thick, liquid soap lining the sink when all is said and done! 

Mini Hand Creams proved so successful there's now larger sizes in some scents. Megan loves them and one customer buys the mini's 6 at a time so she'll be thrilled with larger tube. All three companies have hand creams (scroll up above to the Lemon Basil collage-you can see the mini tubes; And just above to this collage there's Tried and True fuschia tubes mini lotions and a lovely gardenia top right square). 

Also seen in collage right above: New essential oil ceramic diffusers and oils. This is flashback to my youth when these were in fashion in the 80s! Now they're oh so organic, clean burning essential oils (vs. highly processed synthetic blends or gasp wax pellets). 

Let's talk Mugs. Most of us I'm sure have a glut of mugs hogging cupboard space. But these mugs are a beautiful porcelin. Usually I'm not a whirly, fancy, curly, ornate handle type of gal.... but these handles fit my hand perfectly! Plus they come in a beautiful gift box so make perfect gifts for your hot beverage loved ones.

Teatowels: Think beyond the dish towel rack. Make perfect cafe curtains for homes, trailers or she-sheds. Or how about pillow covers? They strong, durable, gorgeous designs. More you wash, the softer they get with very little color fade. 

Bubble Bath: Gorgeous tall corked glass bottles in lovely box, all ready for gift giving. 

Hand Lotions: Ditto the Perfect Gift theme. Light lotion, not overly strong perfume. Nice to have next to sinks for a quick pump after hand washing. 

Hand Cream Tubes: Super thick, rich cream in mini tubes (perfect for purses, travel bags etc) or new larger tubes too! 

Notice something missing? No links to online shop. At moment this category tricky to ship. Fears of leaking foam, exploding hand lotions and breaking glass (not to mention costly shipping rates) keep these items out of shop for now. You’ll just have to pop in for a visit to see in person!
