Grab a friend or more. Hop in car and take a tour around our central California region during our Golden State Yarn Crawl. This year it's extended to two weekends! Even easier to get those passports stamped up. Get out your calendar, map and starting planning your trips.
How it Works
Pick up a passport at your first shop. Get it stamped at each shop you visit. Turn it in at final stop to enter into our whopping great prize drawings! New this year: 8 stamps you can enter into the gift basket drawings.
Grand Prize: $100 Gift Certificate from each shop
First Prize: $50 Gift Certificate from each shop
Gift Baskets: 9 baskets with goodies for 9 winners
Our GSYC shops are wonderfully eclectic. It's not just yarn! There's fabrics, quilting and embroidery supplies, paper goods, gifts, bath & body, books, puzzles, kid's books and gifts, art supplies and even loose leaf teas! We also have a working fiber mill and working alpaca ranch. There's baby alpacas too! Jun 21 you can Sip & Stretch with Alpacas! LOL
Just love those babies!
Each shop has their own raffles, events, and prizes, in addition to the awesome big prizes. Be sure to ask what's happening. Sign up for shop newsletter as well for future events, classes etc.
Here at maisieblue there's FIVE Trunk Shows during the GSYC. It's a perfect opportunity to touch, feel try-on and see various yarns worked up. All the Noro and Juniper Moon Patterns are free with purchase (Thank you Knitting Fever!). Crochet and Knit garments/patterns included in the shows. Now I've got to figure out how to display so everyone can play dress up! If I'd been on the ball we could have scheduled a fashion show! LOL
Noro: Akari, Akari Solo, Sonata and Sonata Shima
Juniper Moon Farms: All things Cumulus!
GSYC Website: Find a list of shops, shop hours and a map on main page.
Instagram: Preview the shops and see even more alpacas!
Hours: Fri, Sat & Sun: 10-5pm all shops. Weekdays: Each shop has own hours. Check website chart.
Helpful Tip: Be sure to check the shop google page too. Many have "tour inside" feature. I love this feature when traveling! From my armchair I can preview shops. From Google Maps, click on the wee little yellow person on screen-next to the inside preview pic. The blue lines show street views and blue circles are shops you can "walk" into! Pretty cool feature.
zooming around the world peering inside places means no knitting getting done! LOL
Hope to see you soon!
Don't forget, Murphys has many wineries and maisieblue always has the A/C on! ;)
