Another Berroco Pattern Spotlight: Fun Summer Tee

Here's another great pattern as we head into warm weather project season. Last week got all our Modern Cotton and Summer Sesame back on the shop floor! Both are fantastic summer yarns. Here Berroco paired together to create a lovely faux-colorwork (we love those faux optical illusion patterns!). 

The Gioia tee (which translates to "joy" in Italian) is a perfect piece for spring. It features an easy cross motif that dots the yoke of this simple and flattering tee. It uses Modern Cotton and accented with Summer Sesame. Berroco had fun picking a few great color combinations to inspire us:

More Favorites in Modern Cotton

A modern lace motif spans across the top of Adelyn, a flattering and simple boxy tee. Alternating between the worsted weight Modern Cotton and laceweight Aerial, our Blisse throw/shawl has a beautiful and soft texture, complete with fringe.

Vittoria features an all over slipped stitch texture which allows the colors of Summer Sesame to flow through the tee. Audette is a classic V-neck pullover with simple wide ribbed texture and an eyelet motif on sleeves.

Made in a palette of sophisticated neutrals and cheerful brights, Modern Cotton is a blend of Pima cotton and Modal rayon, beautifully twisted to showcase stitch patterns. It creates garments that are buttery soft and lightweight, making it excellent for spring and summer projects. WE LOVE THIS YARN! It has a silky, cool-against-the-skin feel, perfect for warm weather garments. The added rayon provides a wonderful drape that feels so good! Washable on delicate/.cool. Berroco Summer Tee Favorites

Summer is here (sort of!) despite the late winter and cool spring. Grab Berroco's Pima Soft to work up warm weather projects.  Keep scrolling down for inspiration! 

It has a super soft hand, slight-slubby texture (which disappears when worked up) and washable. Great for baby things too. Delight to work with as well. 

Riviera a recent highlighted pattern. Stunning yoke in top-down construction. You can try it on as you go for a perfect fit. Works on its own or over tanks/dresses when nights turn cool.  There's a crochet version too: Tatins in similar shape and construction. 

Want something fast, easy, and fun to knit? Vincas is a great boxy, flattering tee with slight drop shoulders. Easy, easy, easy sampler that isn't boring to make at all! And it's a freebie! 

Another great summer yarn is Summer Sesame. Here it's paired ingeniously with Pima Soft for another fun, faux-colorwork summer tee Palmier. "Faux" because 1 color of Summer Sesame + a solid Pima Soft makes it look super complicated but really it's not! 

We adore using Pima Soft for kids and babies too. Berroco designed Wynn as a larger version of the very popular baby sweater Kirby. (Kim's Kirby stranded on Sleeve Island at moment....)

They then created an adult version too! Elmgrove uses a worsted weight (we suggest Modern Cotton, or with a bit of tweaking, Pima Soft if you get gauge) 

Kirby is in Vintage Baby but Modern Cotton DK a perfect sub for a cotton, warm weather version.
