New way to support your local LYS and get kits delivered to your doorstep! 

Knitting Fever's Shop Local Program

There's another new way to mainline....um..... I mean obtain kits easily from home. Our vendor, Knitting Fever (think Noro, Juniper Moon, Queensland, Jody Long and countless other lines) created a portal to order up loads of ready-made kits and you choose your favorite shop to get credit. 

We've talked about Berroco's ongoing Drop Ship Kit Program before (here and here). Difference between Berroco and KFI is KFI you order directly from them-we get credit; Berroco directs you to the shop to place an order. Either way works and it is a huge boon for us. Both are massive collaborative retail evolutions and boy are we excited! 

This year KFI launched ready-made kits but alas....as a very small shop with a massive daily to do list....I can't alway pass it along quickly to our customers. One newsletter takes at least 2-4 days to create. Now with this new kit portal....it's easy peasy! Our last Mystery Box used a KFI Noro Kit and it was awesome. Fastest kit we've every pulled together!  Now we have a whole dang website you all can access 24/7

By my count about 38 kits at moment! What's even better: many crochet kits. You can search by yarn line, new to old kits, or use the search icon to type what you're looking for, like "crochet" or "knit". Here's example of two current KFI kits available: Vanessa Scarf (knit) and Hyacinth (crochet)

If this past year+ taught us anything it's you have to be nimble and super careful with the bottom line. As retailers it's so humbling and gratifiying to see our vendors doing the same to support us! Believe me, many other big yarn companies switched up their business models, bypassing their LYS shops, to sell direct to consumers instead. 

Megan and I are ever so grateful for KFI and Berroco, who quickly switched up things in order to support us, their retailer partners instead. Countless other shops are here today (like us) because of such forward thinking, collaborative support. Can't thank the owners, staff and our reps enough.

Newsflash: New Pattern Alert Arrowsic Shawl

 

Just quick heads up on a wonderful new pattern Arrowsic that ticks all the boxes:

Last fall our lovely Berroco sales rep, Betsy texted us photo of her current project: cable pullover using Remix and Aerial held together (Aerial #44+Remix#61). She loved it! Pretty sure this inspired the talented Berroco designer Alison to create this wonderful wrap. 

And guess what? We have plenty of Remix Light and Aerial in stock! Pattern using same shades but you can also pair two contrasting colors, or a light and dark for a more marled effect. Pattern shows a lovely merlot, plumy burgundy (Aerial #21 + Remix #6965). 

 

 

We've long loved the Remix yarns: recycled, no wool, washable, soft and durable. This season pairing a soft mohair/silk blend yarn adds a lovely halo and increases the softness.

We received an online order within hours of the email hitting inboxes. How cool is that? Always exciting when planets align and things work out so well. Only drawback....now I'll be casting on yet another shawl this weekend. [Well technically I'm almost finished with one, cast on one last night and probably will subcumb to the siren call of the cast on with this shawl tomorrow when I'm home watching it rain..... LOL]

Cavallini Puzzles 

Introducing brand new Vintage Puzzles from Cavallini! 1000pc with gorgeous vintage images have arrived! Megan finished one last week and the line meets her exacting puzzle standards. Pieces are a bit smaller but really great quality. Images are all gorgeous!  Each comes in a sturdy tube with muslin bag to hold pieces all tidy. Megan just finished her first Vintage Cavallini 1000pc puzzle (below). She loved it. Mosey doing one (which really means Megan is doing it for Mosey...LOL) Can't tell you how excited this new Cavallini product makes us! One of our longest and most favorite product lines.

Our reorder of eeBoo puzzles arrived today! Beautiful, artsy puzzles in 1000pc, 500pc and 64pc perfect for kids. Cheerful and innovative shapes make these fun puzzles to put together. eeBoo is another company going above and beyond for us retailers during the pandemic. Fortunately they provided nice photos for us to use online!
